读经内容：加拉太书第2章
默想分享：
为什么因信称义这么重要？因为如果我们是因为行为得救的话，基督就徒然为我们死了。换句话说，基督的死就没有任何意义了。受不受割礼不是得救的凭据，所以保罗没有勉强提多受割礼。保罗坚持“因信称义”的真理，就是对福音真理的坚持。感谢神，让这福音如今可以藉着耶稣基督来到外邦人的中间！使我们这些原本与神国无份的罪人也可以得到被拯救的机会。
保罗说，神呼召彼得成为犹太人的使徒，神也感动他，成为外邦人的使徒。这对于初代基督徒领袖来说，是一件十分不易的事情。因为初代基督徒领袖，耶稣的门徒们都是犹太人。犹太人原本是与外邦人是没有来往的，更不要说要向他们传福音了。但是有保罗的启示，又有彼得的异象，初代领袖们被圣灵感动，也知道这是神的心意，所以并没有局限在自己过去的宗教歧视中，而是差派保罗和巴拿巴往外邦人那里传福音。
然而，作为人，也总是有人的缺陷。即使是早期的领袖们，耶稣的门徒彼得，也会犯错。保罗指出彼得因为怕坚持行割礼的犹太人，就与外邦人分开吃饭了。其余的犹太人也随他一起装假，甚至巴拿巴也随伙装假。（2:13）保罗在加拉太书信中公开说明此事，就是说明他的心中坦荡磊落，没有什么好遮掩的，也不觉得得罪了彼得有什么，只要与福音的真理不合，他就会指出来。
从别的书信中我们也可以看到，彼得也并没有因为保罗当众给他难堪就对保罗怀恨在心。彼得仍然将保罗视为“我们亲爱的弟兄。”（彼得后书3:15）彼得的谦卑和保罗为了真理不留余地让我们认识到，在教会中，同工的配搭是多么的重要！最重要的是要在基督里彼此同心合一，为了同一个标杆而跑。保罗为真理指出彼得的错误，虽然不留情面，却是为了真道，不是出于私心。
我们这些已经在基督里白白得到称义恩典的人，就要有基督的样式。因为“我已经与基督同钉十字架，现在活着的不再是我，乃是基督在我里面活着；并且我如今在肉身活着，是因信 神的儿子而活；他是爱我，为我舍己。(加拉太书 2:20 和合本)”
