读经内容：彼得前书第3章
默想分享：
在讲到基督徒应该过圣洁生活的时候，彼得用了很多次“顺服”这个词。作为子民，要顺服人的一切制度，在上的君王，或是君王派来的臣子（彼前2:13）；作为仆人的，要存敬畏的心顺服主人（彼前2:18）；做妻子的，要顺服丈夫（彼前3:1）。
因为近百年来妇女运动的发展，“做妻子的要顺服丈夫”这一条变得比前两条更让人难以接受。妻子顺服丈夫，难道就好像子民顺服君王，仆人顺服主人那样吗？那样实在是让人太难以接受了，这也是基督教经常受到抨击的地方。
首先，男人与女人一样，都是按照神的形象被造的，是神形象的承载者（image of God），所以男人与女人一样，是同等尊贵和重要。
其次，在一个社会体系中，不论是国家体系，还是工作体系，家庭体系，一个人顺服另外一个人都不意味着比另一个人低贱。那些把人分为高低贵贱的社会体系是被罪所充满的社会，是有问题的社会。基督耶稣在世为人时，也顺服自己的肉身父母。基督耶稣也顺服自己的天父，甘愿受死在十字架上。但这都不意味着耶稣基督的位份低贱。
再次，家庭生活在个人的信仰生活中十分重要，妻子顺服丈夫，丈夫要爱妻子缺一不可。妻子顺服丈夫，并不是说要对丈夫所有的决定和行为都表示支持和拥护，无条件的服从。在彼得前书中，彼得特意强调对于不信从道理的丈夫，要顺服，他们虽然不听道，也可以因妻子的品行被感化过来。但是这里，彼得并没有要求妻子顺服丈夫的异教信仰。如果按照顺服的逻辑来说，妻子要顺服丈夫，那么丈夫要求妻子放弃基督教的信仰，跟随他敬拜异教偶像，可以不可以呢？显然是不可以的。那这样不就是不顺服了吗？所以，彼得在这里提到的顺服的含义并不是说无条件的顺服，而是从言语和行为上存着谦卑的心，尊敬自己的丈夫。
丈夫要求妻子顺服自己，是不是就可以在家里作威作福，凡事都要求太太听从他呢？也不是的。“你们作丈夫的也要按情理和妻子同住；因她比你软弱，与你一同承受生命之恩的，所以要敬重她。这样，便叫你们的祷告没有阻碍。”(彼得前书 3:7 和合本) 圣经注重家庭生活，家庭生活的和睦才能促进属灵生命的共同增长。这是很简单的原则，圣经要求彼此相爱，这当然首先就包括要爱自己的妻子，因为妻子是与丈夫一同承受生命之恩的。
思考与应用：我们如何在家庭中过圣洁的生活呢？在家里操练彼此相爱与在教会中操练彼此相爱，哪一个对你来说更难呢？
