读经内容：诗篇72-74

耶和华神曾向所罗门在梦中显现，问他有什么愿望。所罗门说，他求神能够赐给他智慧，好判断神的子民，能辨别是非。（王上3:5-14）在这事之后，他就审断了一件难断的案子，就是两个女人争抢一个孩子的案子。
诗篇72篇是所罗门的一首王诗，关于君王的祈祷。正如诗中所提到的，他祈求君王能够明辨是非，他祈求君王能够公义的审判神的子民。神喜悦所罗门王这样的祈祷，因为他没有为自己求长寿，求财富，也没有求灭绝他的仇敌，只求智慧，比他的父亲大卫所祈求的更符合神的心意。
公义的君王为什么更符合神的心意呢？因为神是公义的，而所罗门所求的公义的君王正是未来耶稣基督的预表。所罗门自己并没有完全做到（他或许有智慧断人的案子，却在晚年敬拜别的神），他不是那个公义的君王。他的祈祷将会实现在耶稣基督的身上。
这首关于公义的君王的描述让人想起了以赛亚书11章，在那里描述了将会到来的一位完美的君王的形象，正与这首诗当中的描述是一样的。而在那位君王的统治之下，“豺狼必与绵羊羔同居，豹子与山羊羔同卧；少壮狮子与牛犊并肥畜同群；小孩子要牵引它们。” (以赛亚书 11:6 和合本) 这就是当耶稣基督再来带来新天新地的时候的景象。在神的国度里，不再有咒诅和仇恨，所有的一切都将恢复到神起初创造时的美好。那时“认识耶和华的知识要充满遍地，好像水充满海洋一般。”（赛11:9）正如诗篇72:19所说的，“他荣耀的名也当称颂，直到永远。愿他的荣耀充满全地！”(诗篇 72:19 和合本)
第17节，“他的名要存到永远，要留传如日之久。人要因他蒙福；万国要称他有福。”(诗篇 72:17 和合本) 也呼应了创世纪中神对于亚伯拉罕的祝福，“万族都必因他得福。”（创12:3）所以诗篇这里指的是亚伯拉罕吗？显然不是，而是那位应许的弥赛亚，完美的君王，耶稣基督。
思考与应用：神是公义的，这给了我们什么效仿的榜样呢？
