读经内容：帖撒罗尼迦前书第4章

今天，我们的教会在亚洲文化节上有一个摊位，向当地的华裔介绍福音和我们的教会。传福音一直都不是一件容易的事情，每当我遇见一个华人的时候，我就会想要向他传福音。因为能够听到福音，就意味着可能会从魔鬼那里抢救一个人回来。所以，难得有这样的一个机会可以见到这么多的华人，我心里想的就是我要赶快去把福音给他，把我手里的单张给他。
有些人愿意多听，我们就多交流。有些人不愿意听，也礼貌的收下。还有的人，听也不听，就把单子退回给我，连一眼也不想多看。我心里很悲哀，却是为她悲哀，因为她拒绝的不是我，而是神。当神告诉该隐，要他制服在门口的罪时，他没有听从告诫。当神问他你兄弟在哪里的时候，他也说不知道。神整天伸手招呼那些悖逆的人，但是他们不听，也不悔改。他们不愿意来到神的面前，我为他们悲哀，是因为神使他们的心硬。
我们已经处在末日的景况当中，更要以传福音的事情为急迫的事情。主耶稣给门徒最后的嘱咐就是，“所以，你们要去，使万民作我的门徒，奉父、子、圣灵的名给他们施洗。凡我所吩咐你们的，都教训他们遵守，我就常与你们同在，直到世界的末了。”
(马太福音 28:19-20 和合本) 我常常会觉得，我们这些在基督里得到拯救的人，是蒙了极大的恩典的，就好像是被赋予了千两银子的仆人，这属天的财宝已经托付给我们，我们若是没有去使用它，而是把它埋在了地里，那再见主面的时候，如何能够面对主呢？
保罗在帖撒罗尼加前书第四章中，讲了两件事，第一件事是要信徒们过圣洁的，神所悦纳的生活。他要我们成为圣洁，远避淫行，彼此相爱。而那些拒绝这么做的人，不是在拒绝人，而是拒绝赐圣灵的神。（4:8）不要放纵自己的私欲，而是要跟随主耶稣基督的命令，过神所悦纳的生活。
第二件事就是要知道主耶稣的再来对我们来说意味着什么。那些没有神的人，不愿意认识耶稣的人，最后的结局就是沉沦，是被丢入地狱中，在那里虫是不死的，火是不灭的。而相信耶稣的人，“主必亲自从天降临，有呼叫的声音和天使长的声音，又有 神的号吹响；那在基督里死了的人必先复活。以后我们这活着还存留的人必和他们一同被提到云里，在空中与主相遇。这样，我们就要和主永远同在。”(帖撒罗尼迦前书 4:16-17 和合本) 在主里已经睡了（死了）的人，必要先复活，然后还活着的人，就会被提到云中，在空中与主相遇。这就会成为我们的盼望和劝勉。
当我们想到这些拒绝耶稣的人的结局，或者没有听到福音的结局，我们就要更加迫切的去传福音，去为他们祷告。而我们也不会因这个世界的拒绝而心灰意冷，因为我知道我所信的是谁，我也知道我的盼望在哪里。
