读经内容：帖撒罗尼迦前书第1-2章
默想分享：
如果主耶稣基督没有复活，我们就没有盼望了。主耶稣复活，就成了我们所有在主里睡了之人初熟的果实。（林前15:20）我们所有的人都会与耶稣基督一同复活。在帖撒罗尼加前书中最主要的就是讲了保罗的末世观。
耶稣曾经在福音书中说到关于末日的征兆，人子再来的征兆。“那时，人子的兆头要显在天上，地上的万族都要哀哭。他们要看见人子，有能力，有大荣耀，驾着天上的云降临。他要差遣使者，用号筒的大声，将他的选民，从四方，从天这边到天那边，都招聚了来。”(马太福音 24:30-31 和合本)
启示录中也说，“念这书上预言的和那些听见又遵守其中所记载的，都是有福的，因为日期近了。(启示录 1:3 和合本) 也正是因为有着对末日和耶稣再来的盼望，我们在这个地上的日子才会显得更加宝贵，我们更要爱惜光阴，多做主工，好在主耶稣基督再来的日子站立的住，这就是我们的盼望和喜乐，并所夸的冠冕。（2：19）
对于末日和复活的盼望，一直都是保罗神学的核心思想。表面上看起来末日大审判似乎是残酷的，带来了毁灭，但是其实审判与救赎一直都是相连的。若没有审判，那新的世界就不会到来，恶人不会受到惩罚，义人也得不到奖赏。今天之所以末日还没有到，是因为神还在给人们存留时间，等待他们的悔改。“神不愿一人沉沦，乃愿人人都悔改。”（彼得后书3:16）
“黑夜已深，白昼将近。我们就当脱去暗昧的行为，带上光明的兵器。”（罗13:12）弟兄姐妹们，我们要等候主耶稣的再来，他必再来，所以我们要脱去旧人，穿上新人，不住的为主做工，也为着耶稣基督而忍耐，因为忍耐到底的必然得救。
思考与应用：主耶稣的复活给我们带来什么样的盼望？我们要如何等候他的再来？
