读经内容：哥林多前书第8-9章
默想分享：
在人的生活中，并不总是都是大事，也有许许多多的小事构成了我们的一天。这些琐碎的小事构成了我们的真实生活，早餐吃什么，孩子在哪里读书，地板需要修理，等等。但是我们知道在我们的生活中什么是大事，什么是小事，所以我们的生活就会有优先级别。
在我们的属灵生活中，也是一样，有些事情是大事，有些事情是小事。什么是性命攸关的大事，相信神，以神为乐，顺服神的生活。什么是鸡毛蒜皮的小事，吃什么，喝什么。这些事情对于我们的身体来说很重要，但是与我们的灵性生活关系却是不大。
在保罗的观点里，祭过偶像的食物并不算什么，因为偶像就不算什么，但是拜偶像的事情是绝对不允许的。关于食物的问题，我们已经在每日读经中已经分享过很多次了，这里就不多说了。
保罗在第九章说明他自己使徒的权柄，他不愿意哥林多教会的人怀疑他使徒的身份。他原本可以也接受教会的资助，也可以娶妻，但是他没有，因为他的人生目标就只是传福音。一切与传福音相关的事情他都愿意去做，影响他事工的事情，他都不愿意去做。
所以，他说，“凡较力争胜的，诸事都有节制，他们不过是要能坏的冠冕；我们却是要得不能坏的冠冕。所以，我奔跑不像无定向的；我斗拳不像打空气的。(林前 9:25-26 和合本)”结合他前面所讲到的内容，就可以知道，保罗在婚姻，食物，还有接受奉献上等等世俗事情上的节制，就是为了要得不能坏的冠冕。他向着那个目标奔跑，而不在意其他的事情，可见保罗是一个心志坚韧的仆人。
