读经内容：罗马书第一章
默想分享：
罗马书被认为是关于保罗神学思想的最重要的书信之一，包含了因信称义等最主要的神学要义。这封寄给罗马教会的信大约写作时间是AD.57，应该是保罗在哥林多第三次宣教旅程的路上写的。那时，保罗作为一名生下来就是罗马公民的人，却从来没有到过罗马。罗马是希腊的政治文明的中心，是当时最繁华的城市之一。根据史料记载，罗马是一个鱼龙混杂的城市，街道嘈杂而且很臭，许多人来这里讨生活，贫富两极分化严重。最初的罗马教会应该是有犹太人组成的，但是由于罗马皇帝革老丢在AD.49驱逐犹太基督徒，所以极有可能在罗马教会的发展过程中，有越来越多的非犹太人加入了教会。
罗马书1:1就说明了这封信的作者是保罗，保罗的自称是“基督的仆人，”仆人这个词其实就是奴隶的意思，保罗的这种用法让人联想到旧约中的先知，比如摩西也是神的仆人。保罗说明自己的使徒身份，他的职分就是要传神的福音。所以罗马书一开始就说明了保罗所要讲的内容就是福音。
福音的关键是耶稣基督。所以保罗接下来就是要说耶稣基督的身份，按照肉体来说，耶稣是大卫的后裔，这是应验了旧约中先知的预言。按圣善的灵说，耶稣是神的儿子。罗马书第一段是保罗书信中非常常见的开头，以一段问候开始。
我们很多人信主很多年，对于福音一词并不陌生。一个已经信主的人是否也需要福音呢？答案是肯定的。保罗给罗马教会的写信目的在第15节中所说，“所以情愿尽我的力量，将福音也传给你们在罗马的人。”保罗的写作对象是罗马教会，既然是写给教会，为什么要将福音传给他们呢？说明他们虽然已经信主了，但是对福音的真道还并不是很清楚。
福音是什么呢？“福音本是神的大能，要救一切相信的，先是犹太人，后是希腊人。因为神的义正在这福音上显明出来；这义是本于信，以至于信。如经上所记：‘义人必因信得生’”（罗1:16-17）这段话大家可能都很熟悉，这就是福音的核心——因信称义。
保罗接下来就解释为什么我们需要信，因为我们都是不虔不义的人，本来是要承受永生神的愤怒与惩罚的。从罗马书1:18-32，我们可以联想我们刚读过的申命记，摩西是怎样的警告以色列人不要拜偶像，如果他们拜偶像，违背了神的约，就会受到惩罚与咒诅。而申命记中神也知道未来以色列人会远离他，去事奉那些虚无的假神。但是这段经文不仅仅是给犹太人的，也是给外邦人的。因为“ 神的事情，人所能知道的，原显明在人心里，因为 神已经给他们显明。”(罗 1:19) 这种一般启示藉着神在这个世界的创造已经显明给所有的人知道。所以义人就是指的相信神的人，而不是靠着行为而称义的人。世界上的人，如果不相信神，就是不虔不义的人。
从申命记到罗马书，虽然跨越了千年，却是讲的一件事情，传的一个福音。相信神，不要拜偶像。信神，就可以得到生命；不信神，结局就是死亡。这福音就是因着信神的爱子耶稣基督而得到生命。
思考与应用：请体会因信称义的道理，这道理给这个世界带来了什么样的改变？
